Kevin

I have worked to get in good shape on my own for over 12 years.  During this time, I had success and was pleased with how I could get myself to look.  I travel and work about 80% of the time in Asia, Africa and South America with some work in Europe and the Middle East.  My gym is either a hotel (I select hotels based on their gym) or I find a local gym to join.

At 58 year old, just before Covid-19 chased me out of the last country I was in, I met someone in the local gym who in broken English told me to get serious, if you’re going to do this, do it right (She competed the following Sunday and took 2nd place in a woman’s body building competition).  I never saw her compete in Mid-March, two days prior I was called back to the States because Covid-19 followed me again, and this time on the plane I caught it myself.

Prayers paid off and I recovered after a rough patch in March.  I looked,  found Justin and spoke to him on the phone the first week in April.  I signed with him that very day.

While I considered myself serious for about 12 years as a fitness guy, I watched my diet, tried to eat clean (I am served food in some places that I do not even know what I am eating) and had reasonable results.  Justin, in his easy, motivating and engaging manner worked with me as I began his nutrition plan.  Still in lock down, he also helped me make the most of my makeshift gym in the garage.  The lock down kept me home so I could focus on my diet, learn what Justin was teaching, see the direct impact on my body as we he continually tweaked the nutrition plan based on my body’s response.  Learning all this, errors can be made, Justin’s response to those were always backed with positive reinforcement and assurance it will all work out.

I am back overseas as I write this, but after 6 months I am extremely happy with the new knowledge I picked up, the way I feel and the way I look.  I did not see myself ever competing in a physique contest (maybe if my schedule workout and I was home) but I trained as if I would be in one.   Given the lack of the gym in my garage for the first 4 months and being quarantined for 2 weeks in my current location, so no gym at all, I am very pleased with the results.

I always believed bodies are 80% plus made in the kitchen, but the learning was huge.  Thanks to Justin I learned how minor changes impact the body. I look forward to Justin being my trainer again upon my return in 2021. And someday, have some time working within Jada Blitz! I strongly recommend Justin to anyone who desires a change in there physical (and thus mental) health for the better regardless of the point in their personal journey.  If your new at fitness, at it like many in a gym somewhere or really pressing to be competition ready, go take that step and contact Justin as I did.

Working with Justin is always both an honor and a privilege. There are very few people in the local fitness industry who take the time to cultivate a genuine relationship with their clients while also pushing them to become better versions of themselves. He is the consummate professional and his knowledge in the subject of body composition is one of the best in the industry. As someone who has taken their health and fitness seriously for the last 10 years, it’s imperative to work with a coach who can always teach you something new and that is exactly the expertise Justin brings to the table. Whether you’re experienced in the health and fitness world, or a total beginner, Justin is the right fit for you and you will come away having learned something about yourself that you wouldn’t have had known before.

When I started, I was strictly doing daily cardio without any weight training. I was eating once or twice a day. I  drank wine regularly to cope with the stress of COVID-19 and felt awful and needed a change. Now, I weight train at least 3x a week mixed in with weighted circuit training and limited cardio to once a week. I now eat 4-5 times a day and limit alcohol to once a week. I feel a lot better and much more productive! I noticed that even my skin is better. I feel more confident and capable even just after one month. I am so excited to keep it up and can’t wait to see where things end up in a few more months

I have worked in the fitness industry for over 5 years now. I have had all the tools and knowledge surrounding me during those 5 years, and even though I knew what I should be doing to be healthy and fit, I was just not able to do it on my own, especially with nutrition. I realized that I needed Justin’s help and knowledge to provide me with the guidance and accountability  I needed.

My goal over the past 8 months wasn’t to be “skinny”, it was to be able to lift heavy weight while strengthening my body and slowly lose fat mass, all the while working around my limitations with a severe knee injury. Justin’s understanding of my goal and his vast knowledge of how the human body works and reacts to certain changes in one’s diet and weight training is truly awe inspiring.

I have done ZERO cardio during these last 8 months, cut my days of working out from 7 to 5, and have communicated weekly with Justin on my body and diet, allowing him to make the proper adjustments to my nutrition, that has allowed me to continue to slim down, but most importantly stay strong in the gym increasing my lifts each week. He has also been a sounding board for me when I struggle with going out to eat, or drinking with friends because those are important aspects of my life that I do not want to give up, and with his encouragement I am able to live that balanced life.

My advice for any woman out there struggling with their weight, would be to put your faith in Justin, and listen to what he is telling you to do. It may go against what you want to do, ie. eat more carbs or do less cardio, but if you give him your 100% trust, I guarantee you will be able to see the same results I have with his nutritional programs.

A little over five months ago I felt lost, unmotivated, and defeated not only in my personal life but in my weight loss journey. When you reach a point that you feel you are at your “heaviest” or “biggest” it is hard to find the motivation to do something about it. That’s when I met Jenny from Jada Blitz and was immediately  introduced to Justin. Quickly I learned it wasn’t just a personal trainer or a nutritionist that I was getting at Jada Blitz but a full support system to hold me accountable for my goals. It’s hard to keep yourself motivated when you want to reach your goals tomorrow. Justin put me on a macro program that helped me stay consistent. It quickly showed me that nutrition and my goals didn’t need to stop for the holidays, vacation, or busy week to see results. And that is wasn’t just a diet anymore. It was a complete lifestyle change. I was held accountable each week to stay on track and for me that was completely necessary. Creating a new habit and lifestyle is hard at first, you need someone to help you push you through the days you don’t see results and want to quit. Not only am I down 20 pounds but I found my confidence and motivation again to put myself and my health first. I am excited to see where this journey continues to take me and what my best self will look like- can’t wait to meet her!

In 2019 I started the Erie County police academy, and just like basic training, I lost a bunch of weight. Graduated and began my field training, while I had a great FTO, we ate out A LOT. AND AGAIN IT ALL CAME BACK!. While strong, I was at the heaviest I’ve ever been in my life and when I looked at pictures from my honeymoon, I knew I had to do something, a big part of my job is looking fit and professional and that needed to be addressed. Nutrition was always my weak point, and I know I needed to fix it.

Mid-January I decided I need help, that’s when I reached out to Justin. He’s has a reputation as being one of, if not THE BEST, nutritional coach around. I was nervous when I went to talk to him. But after just 3 minutes of the first time talking to him,  I knew he was the man. He asked me “how do you think you eat?” I replied with “good” of course everyone thinks they eat good. Then he asked if I have ever tracked what I eat. Only when I had to for classes. He then broke down what macro/micronutrients and why they’re important. I always knew about them but never realized the role they play, like everyone else, I assumed- more protein=more muscle, right? He told me everyone wants the quick fix overnight weight loss program, and that’s not what this is.

Fast forward to week one of tracking. It was difficult hitting my numbers at first, but Justin and I were in contact nearly every day, he gave advice and encouragement and tips that helped me vastly. After the first week, I believe I was down nearly 5 lbs? Now I know that’s a lot, but I never starved myself, I never put myself in a sweatsuit or dehydrated myself, it was done the right way. Every time me and Justin spoke, he was always so optimistic, which in turn hyped me up. Well as the weeks went by, Justin adjusted my numbers accordingly – I don’t know how he does it – but he’s a mathematician with the numbers. The weight literally fell off. And the times that it didn’t, he was always encouraging.

When I hit a sticking point where the numbers are, we used other metrics or measurements that show improvement. Overall I lost 32 lbs and about 4 inches from my waist in 6 months.

Justin was/is always there right away to answer any questions that I had. He’s an amazing coach and an awesome dude. I owe him so much. I can finally feel confident in my uniform at work! Someone once told me “when you become a police officer,  your right to be unfit is gone.” So thank you, Justin! If you’re looking for the best coach around. You found him already, stop looking.

Growing up I was a 3 sport athlete, played junior hockey then college hockey. So I pretty much ate whatever and maintained pretty well. I never really focused on nutrition because I could get by with going constantly and burning off what I ate. Well after the competitive sports ended, that all started to catch up. I fluctuated constantly gaining and losing. I joined the army in 2013 as a medic and obviously lost a ton going through basic training and medic school. After the structure ended, I started nursing school and became an RN, again my bad habits came back and caught up. I deployed in 2017 overseas with the Army National Guard and was able to cut pretty well, came home, and again the same thing, fluctuating up and down.

Before I started working with Justin I was lost when it came to eating. Nothing but bad decisions and losing the same 10-15lbs for about 3 years. I felt I knew me best, and it turns out I was wrong.

I was hesitant at first. The day I wanted to start with him I was going to ask for a week to get all my bad meals out, but I’ve been told when you start on Monday, Monday never comes. Working with Justin I’ve lost about 40lbs in 4 months. Not only am I lighter, I feel better. Joints feel better, wind gets in the lungs quicker, and more importantly, energy is off the charts.

If I didn’t put my health in his hands I would be lost. I owe him for showing me the proper way to diet.

I cannot say enough about how amazing Justin is. I was in the middle of my fitness journey, starving myself to reach my goals, and not knowing where to go from there.  Countless people recommend I contact Justin.

He is more than a trainer and a nutrition coach. He is someone who truly cares about your journey like it is his own.  He is always there to answer any questions or help you if your down.  He listens and helps you learn and grow. His advice and words of encouragement has really stuck with me over time. Most of all I have achieved more results than I ever thought possible and cannot wait to achieve more.  He isn’t someone who is going to give you a generic plan. If you want to achieve your dream goals, Justin is your guy!

And thank you, Justin, for being such a great trainer!

NATALIA K.

I have been training with Justin for about 6 years now.  I was first introduced to Justin as a nutrition client through a friend. Initially, I was nervous to start with a personal training program, surrounded by such dedicated, motivated people. After following his macro-based approach, I knew this was going to fit into my lifestyle. Justin has always kept my goals in the forefront of our training. We started with a small goal of just nutrition, however throughout the years, my training eventually evolved into Justin coaching me through 4 NPC and WNBF competitions. With Justin’s coaching, guidance, and assistance, I always took 1st or 2nd place.

I will always have those experiences and Justin provided me with long-lasting knowledge that has helped me stay active and consistent throughout life. Because of his motivation, and the culture of Jada Blitz, I found a drive within myself that I have carried into many other aspects of my life.

The facility has never been short of amazing as well. The equipment was always well kept and up to date, something you wouldn’t always see in local gyms. Also, from the minute I started at Jada Blitz until today, there has never been a time where I didn’t feel welcomed. The minute you walk in you are greeted with smiling faces and surrounded by like-minded individuals with positive energies. It’s a family. This gym has truly taught me how to live my best lifestyle and cultivated my motivation toward maintaining that lifestyle.

Hillery D.

It all started in 2017 when I attended a Jada Blitz open house. Right away, I had a good feeling about the people and the gym. It was only a week later that I found myself sitting down for a one on one meeting with Justin Draper. From then on, things really took off and my goal to compete in bodybuilding competitions was more than just an idea.

I’ve always loved sports and staying active. I enjoy going to the gym, hiking mountains, and running outside. I played sports all throughout high school and I even played collegiate level field hockey as a goaltender. After college graduation, I found myself wanting that same feeling I had playing sports. I joined the volunteer fire service and a “beer league” volleyball team. Though fulfilling, these activities were not the same. I was still missing that “competitive edge” factor. I wanted to push myself further than ever. I had always wanted to get into bodybuilding because I have a natural build for it. I was even picked for my muscles and being a girl during my school years. I thought at this point in my life, “Why not embrace what I have rather than fight it?”

Fast forward to today and I can’t imagine my life without the sport or Justin Draper as my coach. I love competing as a pro figure athlete!  That’s right, PRO! From the very beginning, Justin’s plan for me wasn’t to put me on a crash diet and just get me on stage. He saw more in me and the same goes for all the athletes he trains. I earned my PRO card and swept the board at my first ever figure competition because of Justin’s guidance. He teaches you how to be the very best athlete you can be by getting to know your nutritional, rest, and training needs. He will not provide you with a cookie-cutter training plan. When you hire Justin as your coach expect way more than that. He cares like a friend would, not just a trainer after your wallet. So many times I have come to Justin discussing my life’s challenges that may not even relate to bodybuilding. That’s huge in this sport because mental toughness is a must!

I continue to compete, improve, and frankly, WIN, because of Justin Draper. If you want to take the next step and get into some of the best shape of your life, I would recommend no one other than Justin. His knowledge, the team he’s created, and resources he has at Jada Blitz surpass so many bodybuilding trainers and plans out there.

From bodybuilding to a baby. Working out had become exhausting, my relationship with food had hit rock bottom, and I was afraid to even look in the mirror.  When I reached out to Justin (after just competing against his amazing wife, Ashley) he welcomed me with open arms.

I trained with Justin weekly, while learning to track my macros, developing a better sense of nutrition. He was there to answer all my questions. I immediately began to see changes in my body and was falling in love with the gym again. Not only was my confidence increasing, but so was my strength! Fast forward seven years we are still together. After just having my first baby, I wasn’t sure where to start. Justin was right there to get me back “on track” and hold me accountable. We have worked diligently to boost my metabolism and find what works best for my postpartum body.  I have already lost all the baby weight and cannot wait to get back in the gym and see what more my body is capable of.

Justin’s guidance and informative explanations on nutrition and workouts, his patience with my impatience when the scale isn’t budging, his constant, “Yes you can, I know you can do this” to my “I can’t do this” have been a constant pillar of strength in times when I have been so unsure of myself. He is always learning new ways to train his clients and keep the body guessing so that sessions are never the same, nor boring, and definitely not painless!

Eric G.

I’m originally from Buffalo which is how I know Justin, but didn’t start working with him until I moved to Tampa. I’ve had multiple trainers and coaches and I have been working out for as long as I can remember. I can truly say that working with Justin has changed my life.

He got me ready for my first physique competition and I went from a starting weight of 211lbs to a stage weight of 167lbs over the course of five months. I’ve never been more conditioned or looked better my entire life.

The most important thing I can say here is that we did it the healthiest way possible while he gave me all the attention I needed when times were tough, and when they weren’t. Justin is motivational but not in a “yes man” sort of way, in a way that is genuine and you can tell he actually cares. You feel like you’re part of something bigger, something special, and he treats you like family.

I hadn’t been to a gym in over a year. I was doing at home workout programs which I enjoyed, but I wasn’t seeing any progress. I had gained about 20 lbs and my wedding date was approaching so I knew I needed a change. I knew who Justin was and liked the results I was seeing on his Instagram page so I booked a consult.

I needed someone to push me, to educate me, and to hold me accountable. Justin has been that for me and much more. I originally thought I would train for 6 months before my wedding and then go back to what I was doing but here I am, 4 years later, still training and doing my nutrition with Justin and Aubree.

I have learned so much during this time, not only about proper nutrition and weight training but also, about myself. Justin always pushes me beyond what I think I can do, leads by example and doesn’t let me make excuses. When I first started training I was 20 lbs heavier and could barely squat 135lbs. Now, I can squat 225lbs…which I never thought was possible. I still get nervous for leg day every week (if you train at Jada Blitz then you know what I am talking about ).

I learned I don’t have to do cardio 5 times a week to achieve results (I have not done more than two cardio sessions per week in four years!). I am also eating more food than I ever have and enjoying lots of carbs! (They really aren’t the enemy unlike what most of us think). I love that I can eat all of my favorite foods because Justin has shown me how to train my metabolism. I still enjoy dining out and a few cocktails if I can fit it into my macros/nutrition. This balance is key to not only losing weight but keeping it off! Justin helped me have a balance that works for me.

We are always trying to improve and that mentality has carried over into my business as well as my personal life. You may have days you aren’t your best or days you don’t want to show up but I’ve learned that if you keep showing up and putting in the effort, you will come out on top. Consistency is key. If you want to learn a healthier lifestyle that works for you and have fun while doing it then you need to check out Jada Blitz. You won’t be disappointed 🙂

Achieving a healthy lifestyle takes more than just working hard at the gym. I didn’t always think this way. In fact, a few years ago I thought that’s all it took. It was simple, make a daily commitment to exercise and everything else would fall into place. As I found out, results at the gym can stop or even worse, begin to regress. Especially when poor nutrition or bad eating habits are added to the mix. My lack of results at the gym were eventually compounded by frequent fatigue, sluggishness and an absence of motivation to workout.

That all changed when I started working with Justin and tracking macronutrients. With Justin’s guidance, I learned, among many things, the significant role that nutrition plays in achieving fitness goals. In addition to nutritional awareness, Justin also taught me the importance of rest, recovery, sleep and exercise regimen. Becoming familiar with and practicing these factors have helped assure that my time spent in the gym produces the desired results.

Under Justin’s leadership, within the first six months of tracking macros, I achieved my original goal of reducing body fat and becoming lean. By adjusting my nutrition and tracking macros not only did my body composition improve but my overall wellbeing was positively impacted as well.

Smarter food choices and a proper balance of macronutrients reset my metabolism and allowed my body to work for me. Proper nutrition also improved the quality of my sleep. But perhaps the greatest change I experienced was increased energy levels. I became capable of maintaining consistent energy throughout the entire day.

It’s been my experience that focusing on macronutrients has the ability to produce long term, sustained success. Because of the flexibility in food choices, following a macros based food plan lacks the strictness of many other diet plans. Allowing one to eat foods they enjoy without guilt or fear of having a setback. This flexibility along with commitment and dedication continues to provide me with the foundation necessary for a healthy lifestyle.

For those reading these words, I consider you fortunate. Even contemplating consulting with, being coached by, or training with Justin Draper is definitely a move in the right direction.

Consummating that decision will change your life.

I have been a life-long student of nutrition, as well as a Biochemistry/Pre-Med major in college and the previous founder/owner/operator of the Women’s Wellness Center of Western New York. I eat a very healthy, varied, and fresh-food-rich diet. Additionally, despite being a busy OB/GYN Physician for 34 years and a nation-wide lecturer, I have engaged in a rigorous and regular regimen of weight-lifting, aerobic exercise, and mixed martial art training. I honestly felt that I was in good shape – endurance/physique/strength/flexibility-wise.

On September 4, 2019, I stopped into Jada Blitz on the way home from my Krav Maga lessons at The Training Edge (presently training for my 6th degree Black Belt) to meet Justin for a consultation. After that one memorable and probing meeting I signed up on the spot and have never looked back.

Suffice it to say, every parameter that I thought I was doing well on was significantly enhanced. Justin taught me how to tweak my diet, added novel and varied exercise regimens that have made a huge difference in my physique (muscle size/balance/definition – noticed by my family and friends), improved my strength and endurance, and enabled me to more clearly understand the logic behind and appreciation for a proper one-on-one training session.

I can’t say enough about my respect for Justin Draper – a consummate professional and the voice of experience (competed in 24 physique contests). He has a creative mind, an ability to quickly correct or improve your form, and a confident, focused demeanor that will help you get the results you deserve. When you couple that with the best training facility that I have been in nationwide, you are in for a truly life-improving and enjoyable ride.

Have Fun!!!

My interest in fitness started in 2002. I was a sophomore in college, had been overweight throughout middle and high school, and was drawn into a local gym by a special they were running after the first of the year. After a few uncomfortable weeks as a new, overweight gym-goer, I was fortunate enough to have something just click for me. Once I started seeing results, I became more driven and fitness became a very important part of my life. Within a year, the new workouts combined with slowly modifying my diet resulted in a 45-pound weight loss.

Fast forward to 2007 and a different local gym, I discovered group fitness and completely fell in love. So much so that I trained to become an instructor for my first program in 2008. My body responded to taking the classes, even more so once I became an instructor, and it continued to transform with each of the programs I added to my repertoire.

In early 2015, I decided that it was time to take it up a notch. I realized that I could only get myself so far, and I knew I needed someone to help me achieve my goals. A very good friend, and fellow instructor, had trained with Justin for a figure competition. Based on her experiences and her incredible results, I knew he was the best- -he was the person I needed to contact.

I started training with Justin in January of 2015 and a few weeks later we added the nutrition component. Very seriously, these last four years have been life-altering. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Justin and the work we have done together. He has taught me so much, both during our sessions as well as in our weekly communication about my nutrition, and I continue to learn more each and every week. Justin is constantly challenging me and pushing me to work harder and be better, yet has never once suggested I cut back on teaching or taking the classes I still love so much, he simply makes it all work for what we are trying to achieve.

Justin has been supportive through injuries, illness, and is completely responsible for the success I saw during my competition season in 2017. We have met goals, we have surpassed goals, and Justin is always just as excited, if not more excited than I am after reaching a milestone. I have gotten stronger and leaner during my time with him, and my only regret is not starting with him sooner.

Thank you, Justin, for all you have done for me up to this point, I so look forward to seeing what we continue to achieve in the future!

My journey at Jada Blitz started in July 2015. I came to the gym overweight with bad knees, a bad back, and multiple sclerosis (MS). I was not a candidate for back surgery and was told to go for physical therapy. From past experience, I knew PT was not for me. I was told diet, weight, and stress were key factors in controlling my MS. I was desperate and knew I needed to do something. I drove by Jada Blitz every day and decide to stop in to see if someone could help me with a workout routine that I could handle with all of my challenges. How lucky I was to meet Justin and his staff. I started out with a three-month membership which led to preparing for my first bodybuilding competition at 47 years old. With the help of Justin’s fitness and nutrition expertise, I lost 60 lbs.

I am 52 years old and getting ready to hit the stage again thanks to Justin’s innate ability to challenge, motivate, and encourage me all along the way. I owe him more than I can ever express. I cannot only call him my trainer; I call him a friend. Thank you, Justin, and the entire Jada Blitz family.

My entire life, I always struggled with weight loss and finding balance. I’ve tried a lot of things only to yo-yo again and again. With the onset of the pandemic, I wanted to try Peloton and read a book at leisure. From March through July I started to find a passion for working out and I felt love for myself, but when August came I fell off the wagon really hard and wanted to give up. Holding a career in medicine during CV-19 has been extremely hard, but I’m meant to do it, I chose it.

I started trying Balanced Body Foods when my schedule got tough. After chatting with Ashley, the owner, I connected with her husband to meet for a one-on-one consultation. During our consult, Justin made a strong first impression on me. He shook my hand, sat me down to talk, created a no-pressure environment, and was all ears listening to my story and what I was looking for. He never checked his watch or hurried me along, he was considerate and detailed in his plan for me, and after thinking things over I signed up.
To date, I’m almost 3 months into my 6-month commitment. I can tell you, this WILL BE forever with me. Justin is giving me the tools to be healthy and fit for life, he’s been so patient in helping me figure out what foods to eat, when to eat them, and how to adjust them to my schedule. He’s taught me that it wasn’t always going to be easy, but he would be there the whole way. We talk about goals, the food I eat, my fitness journey, and how to make it work for me. Not everyone else. Me!
What I have gained in the last 3 months, I could never put a price on. I am a leaner. I am stronger. I can do hard things. I don’t have to do this, I get to do this. Self-care is my new foundation for living an epic life! A life past this pandemic. My journey with Justin at Jada Blitz is far from over!
